Mr. Daniel Jay Irby, 59, of Charlotte, NC died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at his residence. Born September 30, 1952 at the US Army Base in Fukuoka, Japan he is the son of Velva Ann Irby of Wichita Falls, Texas and the late Jesse Irby. Mr. Irby loved the Lord and was an active member of StoneBridge Church Community. He is a US Army Veteran, self employed in real estate management, an avid Cowboys Fan and loved his Harley. Dan attended both Lawton High School in Lawton, OK and Mt. Enterprise High School in Mt. Enterprise, TX. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN with a bachelor's degree in sociology and an associate's degree in computer science from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday September 19, 2012 at StoneBridge Church Community. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. A loving and devoted husband, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 33 years Mary Lou Irby. In addition he is survived by his mother, Ann Irby; brother, Mr. & Mrs. Don Irby of Wichita Falls, TX; three nieces and extended family members. Floral arrangements are appreciated or memorial contribution may be made to the Deacon's Fund at Stonebridge Church Community, 3700 Prosperity Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28269 to be used for helping people in need.
