Daniel Leif Bowman, 75, of Charlotte, NC left us peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 8, 2024.
Daniel was born in Tampa, Florida to the late John and Margaret Bowman. He is survived by his loving older sisters, Judy Swanson and Peggy Couch. He is also survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie Bowman, who he met during their freshman year at Florida State University. Daniel and Connie built a wonderful life together full of love and joy.
He was a devoted father who left behind his daughter, Holly Huffstetler, her husband, Grant, and two grandchildren, Cole and Dean, his son, Jon Bowman, his wife, Glenda, and his daughter, Candace Stepp, her husband, David and two grandchildren, Nolan and Ashton. Daniel cherished his children and grandchildren, and they will miss his wisdom, humor, and kind heart.
Daniel was the most loving and generous husband and father and always put his family first. He was a proud veteran who served America as a lieutenant in the army in the Vietnam War. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, and cheering on his Seminoles and the Carolina Panthers. He also touched many people throughout his career as an instructor in the financial industry.
The family will be having a private service to honor Daniel's life but they appreciate beyond expression the outpouring of love and support they have received. Daniel had a long and difficult battle with Parkinson's. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Daniel's life was a tapestry of commitment, passion, and love, interwoven into the lives of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed and eternally remembered.
