Cynthia Jean Harris

Cynthia Jean Jensen Harris, 75, of Cornelius, NC formerly of Downingtown, PA passed away peacefully on Friday September 3, 2021.

Cindy was born November 4, 1945 in New York City to the late W. Glenn and Jean Lawerence Jensen.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Rucker of Downingtown, PA, Kymberly Wells (Bryan) of Ft. Mill, SC; son, Evan Harris of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Audrey Rucker, Jacob Rucker, Julianna Wells, Rebecca Wells, Maya Wells, Tessa Wells; sister, Kathleen Thompson of Oswego, NY and brother, Lawerence Jensen of Rutland, VT. 

Along with her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald MacGregor “Greg” Harris JR in February 2020. They shared 54 years of marriage. In addition to the joy their family brought them Cindy and Greg enjoyed many travels together.

Cindy grew up a farm girl, tough from the start. She was known for her love of projects. She did it all and took pride in doing it herself. Cindy lived for her 6 grandchildren, spoiling them (and her grandpups), teaching them how to cook, use power tools, and everything in between. Some of her favorite memories included playing cards with friends and family and spending time by the beach, especially family trips to Emerald Isle.

She was blessed with many decades long friendships from NY, PA and her friends from Baileys Glen where she and Greg spent their last 11 years.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC.  The family will receive friends for a gathering starting at 2:00 pm until the start of the service at 3pm.
