Cynthia "Cindy" Tercek Shimko

Cynthia "Cindy" Tercek Shimko, 62, of Cornelius, NC passed away Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC. Cindy was born October 31, 1952 in Cleveland, OH to Agnes Kosmerl Tercek and the late Albin John Tercek. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sibling. Cindy graduated from the University of Dayton in 1974. Cindy was a CPA and a middle school teacher at Mt. Mourn IB School. She was highly driven in both of her careers and truly found herself in teaching. She was an excellent cook and was very organized. Along with her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family; husband, Dr. Jack M. Shimko; children, Andrew Shimko, Nicholas Shimko, Julia Shimko; brothers, John, Mark, Tom, Charlie, and Robert Tercek; several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family of Cindy will receive friends on Friday January 30, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Terri Hintz officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
