Coleman F. Dellinger

Coleman F. Dellinger, 80, of Lincolnton, NC passed away on January 20, 2018. A native to Lincoln County he was born on May 10, 1937 to the late Luther Glenn Dellinger and Myrtle Alice Hovis Dellinger.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Theo Dellinger; sister, Mabel Wilson, and brother-in-law, Richard Reddick and one grandson; Dustin Woods.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Dellinger; step children, Kenneth Wilkinson and wife Shirley of Lincolnton, NC; Susie Houk and husband Rick of Lincolnton, NC, Debbie Woods and husband Bill of Charlotte,NC, Laura Barker Holden and husband Neil, Darren Barker and wife, Barbie, and Judy Wiggins all of Bryson City, NC; grandchildren, Justin Ellis and wife Julie of Homestead, NC, Jake Wilkinson and wife Anna of Lincolnton, NC, Ethan Wilkinson of Lincolnton,NC, Christopher Cochran of Bryson City, Conner Cochran, of Cullowhee, NC, William Thomas Holden of Bryson City, Crystal Chapman and husband, Greg of Franklin, NC, Melissa Taylor and husband Garrett, Holly Wiggins, and Brandon Barker all of Bryson City, NC, Tyler Woods of Charlotte, and Kendra Bodry of Boone, NC; great-grandchildren, Owens Ellis, Gavin Ellis, Evan Ellis all of Homestgead, NC, Kaileigh Crisp, Kaleb Micheals, Slade Chapman, Sydney Chapman all of Franklin, NC, and Demetri of Bryson City,. He is also survived by his brother, Lane Dellinger and wife, Patricia of Lincolnton, NC, sister-in-laws, Fran Borchgrevink and husband Valdy of Winter Haven, FL, Maxine Dellinger of Pensacola, Fl, Loretta Reddick, Lincolnton, NC, and special cousin, Wilma Jean Dellinger.

Coleman was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church. He loved to play golf and enjoyed working in the yard.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC. A visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 pm prior to the service. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations will be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 1982 Salem Church Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
