Christina Elena Robinson, of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully on the morning of November 4th, 2020 after a short courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Christina was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 24, 1954 to the late John Kanopka and Donata (Helen) Kanopka Picone. She spent many years living on Long Island surrounded by family and life long friends.
Christina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She spent many years working in corporate real estate as a project manager at Wells Fargo in Charlotte NC. She was happiest in her life taking on the role of "Gee Gee" to four adoring grandchildren, Jack, Wyatt, Olivia and Sydney. This also includes her grand pups Lilly and Dolly. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crafting with her family, always having many projects to keep her busy. Christina regularly went by "Tina" and loved to travel, fish, watch reality TV and was always up for a scenic ride to the beautiful North Carolina Mountains. She also was a big fan of classic rock music especially her boyfriends Billy Joel and Paul McCartney. Christina was a master knitter and crochet artist. She regularly used her talents to donate and support children's charities and most recently knitted dozens of ear saver devices for Covid-19 front line workers at Atrium Health.
She is survived by her son, Keith Robinson; two daughters, Nicole and Erica and son in laws, John Doty and Brian Duke; brothers: Frank Kanopka and John Kanopka and his wife Margaret "Terry" Kanopka; her beautiful nieces and their families- Jessica and Tim Coners, Kristen and Tyson Evans, Jackie and Chris Lolos and Lisa Kanopka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Levine- Dickson Hospice House and The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
