Charles Griffin Mayer

Mr. Charles Griffin Mayer, 57, of Stanley NC died Tuesday April 30, 2013 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House. Born February 21, 1956 in Charlotte NC he was a son of Nell Sherrill Mayer of Charlotte and the late Charles Eugene Mayer. He was a Mason and loved riding his Harley. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Western Avenue Baptist Church in Statesville, NC with Rev. Dell Cook and Dr. James Cartin officiating. Graveside Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Martha's Chapel Cemetery, Killian Farm Road, Stanley, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. In addition to his mother, Nell Mayer, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Cook Mayer; daughters, Amanda Deason and husband Ben and Sunni K. Mayer of Stanley, NC; brother, Andy Mayer and wife Debi of Oxford NC and granddaughter, Gabrielle Deason.
