Charles D. Finney

Mr. Charles "Chuck" D. Finney, 82, of Harrisburg , NC formerly of Charlotte left his mortal body on December 7, 2011 to be with his Lord. Born December 12, 1928 in Lebanon Virginia he was a son of the late James Roy Finney and Willie Ann Felty Finney. Chuck lived a full life filled with family and surrounded by love. A job with Douglas Aviation brought him to Charlotte, NC where he met and married the love of his life Dorothy "Judy" Crawley Finney. The family left Charlotte due to a career in the Aero Space Industry which took them to Colorado, Arkansas and the DC area of Virginia. The family returned to Charlotte due to a new career for Chuck. He was member of the Derita Masonic Lodge # 715 and retired from Whirlpool Corporation Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Dorothy "Judy" Crawley Finney; sons, Curtis Scott Finney and wife Joy Warrick Finney; daughters, Susan Elaine Finney Hopkins, Samanthia Ann Finney Corcoran and husband Brian James Corcoran; Robert Hopkins, Jr. grandchildren, Preston Lee Finney, Jami Lynn Finney, Joshua Nathaniel Hopkins and wife Hope Hopkins, Melinda Kristine Hopkins, Daniel Brian Cororan, Anna Marie Corcoran; great grandson, Rayne Mikhel Finney; sister, Patty Finney Wilson; brother, Jerry Finney and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 6440 Old Statesville Road, Charlotte NC 28269; Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 950 W Faris Road, Greenville SC 29605 or Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O.
