Charles (Bud) Albrecht, age 75, passed away September 23, 2017, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC, after a short illness.
Charles was a retired IBM employee in Charlotte and an accomplished musician playing in many venues in the Charlotte area including for many years, the Cajun Queen. He was also an Adjunct Professor at the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
Charles graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and completed graduate studies at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. He was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army and Army Reserves in 1969. Charles was married to Rosemary (Gurgul) who pre-deceased him.
Charles is survived by his brother, George, and sister-in-law, Marel, and his sister-in-law, Delores Albrecht of NJ, his brother-in-law, Dennis Gurgul and sister-in-law, Carmella, of ME, his nephew, Bart Albrecht of MD, and nieces Lisa Buckley of NJ, Tara Everett of FL, Natasha Perski of NJ, many grand-nephews and grand-nieces and many friends and co-workers in NJ and NC.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC for their most attentive and consoling services. A Memorial Service will follow at a later date.
