Cecil Eugene Coey

Coey, Cecil E., 87, of Davidson N.C, died July 27, 2012. He was born January 28, 1925 in Portsmouth Ohio, son of the late Floyd M. and Edith Reeder Coey. He was a WWII US Army Veteran where her participated in the Battle of the Bulge, and the invasion of Normandy, D Day. He received 2 purple hearts and the bronze star. He was a retired barber and was a guard at the Southern Ohio Correction Facility. Cecil enjoyed golf, lawn work, gardening, and reading. He was a Christian by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia M. Coey, his granddaughter, Ashley Coey, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are sons, Tim and his wife Mary of Huntersville N.C., and Larry and his wife Penny of Elyria Ohio. A daughter, Nancy Coey, of Ft.Myers Fl. 4 Grand children. There will be no visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
