Carolyn Deloris Rhodes

Carolyn Deloris Rhodes went peacefully to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She was born June 18, 1929 to the late Arthur and Yoland Rogers. She and her late husband, Wilbur Lee Rhodes were married 72 years. They were residents of Pocatalico, WV until 2015 and then called Mooresville, NC home. 

Carolyn devoted her entire life to her family and being a follower of Jesus Christ. She was a woman of steadfast faith and shared her testimony of God's love and salvation to everyone she met. She had a bright personality and a special spark that drew people to her. Carolyn's legacy is leaving behind a dynamic impact on others through love, compassion and kindness. 

Carolyn is survived by her son, Terry Rhodes (Robin Steele Rhodes); daughter, Judith Rhodes Whittington; granddaughter, Monica Whittington Herr (Jeff Herr); grandsons, Jason Whittington (Katherine Robinson Whittington); Matthew Rhodes (Shannon Hughes), and Joshua Rhodes. Carolyn was also blessed with six great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Lee Rhodes, and son-in-law, Roger Clayton Whittington.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, 1:30 PM, at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Cemetery, 6839 Sissonville Drive, Charleston, WV 25320.  Rev. Rob Whittington will officiate the service.
