Carolyn Herl

Mrs. Carolyn Redman Herl, 82, of Huntersville, NC died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Olde Knox Commons Nursing Home. Born June 16, 1930 in Ashtabula, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Floyd Charles Redman and Florence Mae Jeffers Redman. She was Past Matron of the Eastern Star, an accompanist for several choral groups, an avid bowler, bridge player and golfer and loved a good joke. She was the church organist and choir director at Kingsville Presbyterian Church in Kingsville Ohio for many years. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 8, 2013 at the Clubhouse at The Glens, Huntersville, NC with Jim Cooper officiating. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years H. Douglas Herl; sons, Douglas D. Herl and wife Wanda of Columbus Ohio, David A. Herl and wife Barbara of Charlotte; daughter, Cathy Publicover and husband Jim of Lexington NC; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Duane R. Redman. Memorials in her honor may be made to Kingsville Presbyterian Church, 3056 West Main Street, Kingsville Ohio 44048.
