Carole Mae (Fish) Hughes passed away on May 30, 2014 after months of declining health. Born on November 6, 1934 in Port Henry, NY, Carole graduated from Port Henry High School in 1952. After moving to numerous cities around the country, she again settled in Upstate New York, most recently in Fort Edward. In 2013 she moved to Charlotte, NC, to be closer to family. She enjoyed sewing and worked as a seamstress at J and J Yarns. Her favorite pastime was growing flowers. Carole was predeceased by her parents, Marshall F. Fish and Lucy Childs White; husband Richard Hughes; sons Scott Rosenquist and Mitchell Rosenquist; son-in-law Robert Mick; and grandson Nathan Rosenquist. Survivors: daughter Julie Robson (Thomas) of Rochester, NY; son Kerry Rosenquist (Wanda) of Grand Forks, ND; daughter Valerie Rosenquist of Huntersville, NC; son Jeff Rosenquist (Mary) of Clayton, NC; and grandchildren Brian Robson (Brandy); Patrick Rosenquist (Jenna); and Catriona Guthrie (Brian). A memorial service will take place in Port Henry, NY at a later date.
