Carol was born in Queens, NY April 17, 1937 but raised in Nassua County. Married to Walter W. Yentsch Jr, a Nassua County Police Officer, they raised their family in Massapequa Park and retired to North Carolina. Born to Charles and Elizabeth Muller, Carol was a loving wife to Walter, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother – Charles Muller of Newton, NC and her children – Laura-Jean M. Collins of Huntersville, NC and Walter W. Yentsch III of Pittsboro, NC, their spouses Patrick Collins and Cari Yentsch and 4 grandchildren – Audra Collins, Brian Collins, Madeline Yentsch and Will Yentsch. Carol spent many years serving lunch to the children of Birch Lane Elementary School and served as a Crossing Guard escorting children on the path behind Marjorie Post Park on their way to Unqua Elementary School on Long Island. In NC, Mrs. Yentsch was a Medical Transcriptionist at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, a Personal Assistant to Mr. Watts Hill and a secretary at the Carteret Economic Development Council Office in Morehead City. Carol was very active in her parish in Morehead City and her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in her name be made to St. Egberts Catholic Church 1706 Evans St. Morehead City, NC 28557 or Catawba Regional Hospice 3975 Robinson Rd. Newton, NC 28658.
