Carole Runnalls Harms, 71 of Huntersville, NC passed away due to complications of lung cancer and Alzheimer's on Tuesday morning, December 16, 2014 at The Parc on North Sharon Amity. She was born on May 4, 1943 and brought home to a big brother, Richard Runnalls and was raised in Middletown NY on a dairy farm. She married John L Harms in 1964 at Ft. Bragg NC. In 1965 they welcomed their son, Robert and in 1968 welcomed their daughter, Victoria. Their military life included living in Massachusetts, Hawaii and finally retirement in Florida. John precedes his bride in death as do her parents, Robert and Sarah (Horton) Runnalls. Carole goes ahead of her brother, Richard (Rick) and sister-in-law Linda Runnalls of Jennings FL, her son Robert and his wife Tina Harms of Huntersville NC, daughter Victoria and husband Mitchell Green of Avon NC. Granddaughter Cassie (Nolan) Owens of Fredericksburg VA. Grandsons, Tyler and Ryan St. George also of Fredericksburg VA. She was "Gigi" to the great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Huntersville United Methodist Church at 4 pm on Friday, December 19th with reception immediately afterwards in the church's coffee shop. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to any SPCA or Humane Society. Sincere gratitude goes out to our family doctor, Heather Stamey and her staff at Vista Health and Wellness of Huntersville. To the staff and director, Pate of The Parc on North Sharon Amityyour facility, love and care made our lives and mom's life more bearable and as whole as it could befor this we will always be grateful.
