Carol June Floyd

On June 23, 2021, Carol Floyd of Denver, NC passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home while surrounded by her children. She was 79 years old.

She was born in Charlotte on September 5, 1941 to the late George and Lucille Isenhour.  Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband Van Floyd.

Carol is survived by her children, Connie Haney (Pat), Jan Taylor (Wayne), Kim Brethauer (Alex), and Van Floyd; grandchildren, Jennifer McTernan, Justin Haney and Alexis Brethauer; sisters, Barbara Hunsucker and Delores Baker; and her many nieces and nephews. She will be immensely missed by her entire family and Carol’s memory will be dearly cherished.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She was loved by many for her gentle and kind spirit. She was a devout Christian here on earth and is now home with her Heavenly Father and loved ones. 

A graveside service will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
