Carol W. Corey

Carol Ward Corey, 72, of Charlotte, NC passed away on August 28, 2021. She was born on January 23, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to the late Randolph and Elsie Ward.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Emily Jean Corey.

She is survived by her husband, Craig Corey; son, Charles Bryan Corey of Denver, CO; daughter, Melissa Carol Corey of Charlotte, NC; father-in-law, Charles Lee Corey; and beloved grandchild kitty and therapuss, Bella.

Carol was a paramedic, hot air balloon crew member, paralegal, part owner of a Vail music venue, realtor, mother, wife and more. She loved her book club, hosting events, animals, tennis and the WVU Marching Band. She always attended the Davidson Basketball and Panther football games. She was a parrot head and loved her John Denver. Did we mention that she loved tennis too?

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wild Life Sanctuary in Keensburg, CO.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 5:00p at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home located at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
