Carla Haase

Carla M. Haase (Camp) passed into the arms of her creator on April 3, 2025 at Autumn Care of Cornelius, NC. Born April 30, 1937 in Vincennes, Indiana to Beulah (Harrell) and Carl Camp. Loving sister of Beverly Cottle and Jeff (Linda) Camp. Beloved Mother to Kathleen McAlear; Patricia Wicker and Thomas McAlear; Dear Grandmother to Erin Harris (Scott) and Loving “Gigi” to Avery & Luca Harris.

After raising her family in California, she relocated to North Carolina to spend her golden years. Her work experience had humble beginnings, as she started as a bank teller. With years of on-the-job training, she gradually worked her way up to Controller and eventually Vice President of a bank. After working for years in the banking/mortgage industries, she became proficient at computer programs for the mortgage industry. That led her to being a highly sought after consultant and she travelled around the country training others on those programs. She was always a leader in any position she took on, and had the respect and appreciation of those she worked with.

In retirement, Carla focused her time on crafting and created her own business. She shared her love of crafting with her family, friends and fellow members of Huntersville United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlan Haase; brother, Reginald Camp and son, John McAlear, Jr.

Many thanks and love to all those that helped her while she was at home and later visited with her while she was convalescing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Huntersville United Methodist Church, 14005 Stumptown Road, Huntersville, NC 28078 for use in their community outreach and ministry programs.
