Carl David Bryant Sr, 86, born on May 7, 1936 to the late Wiley and Daisy Bryant of Mecklenburg County, passed away peacefully at REX-UNC Hospital on February 26, 2023.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Sam Bryant, Bud Bryant, Tommy Bryant, and Howard Bryant as well as his beloved granddaughter, Valerie Black.

Left to cherish David's memory are his wife of over 40 years, Bonnie Bryant; son, Carl David Bryant Jr. (Melody); daughters, Carol Byars (Kenneth); Kayren Black (Eddie); Kathy Bryant (Dawood); and stepdaughter, Robin Satterfield and Carol Sloan; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

David was an avid gardener who found pleasure in the Lord's renewal of the blessings of spring. Hunting, fishing, woodwork and watching sports were among his favorite pasttimes. David was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.

A graveside service will be held at First Baptist Church of Huntersville on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Community Friends Church, PO Box 813, Carthage, NC, 28327 in David's memory.
