Camilla Collins

Camilla Collins, 89, of Charlotte, NC formerly of NY City, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2015 at Autumn Care of Cornelius. She was born February 6, 1926 in Camden, SC to the late John Collins and Camilla Thompson-Collins.

Camilla enjoyed classic movies, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, music and watching Jeopardy. She loved to travel and to sing.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

Camilla is survived by her loving family: Monica Mullings and her husband Garth, Vikki Collins, Denise Richardson, and Vance Collins and his wife Lissette; granddaughters, Monique Johnson-Palmer, Talisa Hayes, Davida Vaughn, Amber Camille Dunbar, Lauren Collins, Daviana Vaughn; great grandchildren, Collin, Gabrielle, Davin, Daviah and Ishmael, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
