Calvin Lewis Nance

Calvin Lewis Nance, 70, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on November 7, 2017.  Calvin was born October 15, 1947 in Huntersville, NC to the late Willie and Pauline Christenbury Nance.  Calvin was a  former member of the Moose Lodge in Charlotte and a member of Trinity UMC.  He enjoyed NASCAR, word search books, watching sports, listening to gospel music and reading his bible regularly.  He went to dialysis three days a week at Fresenius Medical Care in Charlotte where he made many friends. 

Calvin is survived by his loving family; wife of 44 years Brenda Tench Nance; son, David Lewis Martin and his wife Amy of Mooresville; grandchildren, Megan and Andrew; brothers, Leonard (Barbara) Nance and Wayne Nance; sisters, Sarah Atwell, Neta Nance and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Nance.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  Following the service he will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
