Bruce Talbott

Bruce Henry Talbott of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on August 22, 2023 in Salisbury, North Carolina. He was born on December 7, 1940 in Independence, Kansas to the late Francis Howe and Sarah Katharyn (Fife) Talbott.

Bruce was a 1958 graduate of Wichita High School East, and enjoyed a long and successful career as a software developer. He served in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. After leaving the military, he worked in the banking industry. In his retirement years, Bruce enjoyed researching family history, volunteering with area VA hospitals, playing the harmonica, and spending time with his dog, Jubi.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVeda Marie (Bowyer) Talbott, and is survived by his sons, William Henry Talbott of Burlingame, California and Charles Bradley Talbott of Cumming, Georgia, his granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Talbott of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and his “French daughter,” Cécile Mangenot of Strasbourg.

Bruce will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Please consider a memorial donation to the ALS Association (www.als.org).
