Bobby Joy Mashburn

Bobby Joy Mashburn, 72, of Iron Station, NC passed away on February 11, 2021.  Bobby was born on May 11, 1948 in Charlotte NC to the late Zeb and Grace Mashburn. 

Bobby loved his family so much.  His favorites activities included going hunting with his grandson, Austin.  He loved working on projects with his other grandson, Dalton.  His granddaughter, Brielle loved going to the farm and shooting with him.  Jade, loved making jokes with Papaw.  Zeke, the baby of the family, always wanted to go to the farm with Papaw and feed the cows.  The farm was Bobby’s favorite place to be.  Bobby played softball his entire life and spent many days on the baseball field cheering on his grandsons.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Mavis Hodge Mashburn, of 54 years.  Two daughters, Kim Palmer (Ted Palmer) of Denver NC, and Wendy Mashburn of Forest City, NC.  5 grandchildren, Austin, Dalton, Brielle, Jade and Zeke.  He has one great grandson; Landon.

The family will have a private memorial at a time to be determined.
