Blaise Frank Labriola, M.D. , 89 of Huntersville, passed into eternal rest on April 12, 2016.
Born May 9, 1926 in Corona, Queens, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence Labriola. Dr. Labriola was a retired Obstetrician and Gynecologist, with a practice in Flushing, N.Y. and associated with Flushing Hospital. He graduated from Fordham University in N.Y.C. and New York University Medical School, followed by an internship and residency at Bellevue Hospital, part of the New York University Medical School.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Marie Labriola; children Joseph and wife Barbara, Blaise and Yasmin, Lia Labriola, Gina Gioulis and her husband Antonios Gioulis; He also leaves a sister Theresa Ferrari and her husband Joseph Ferrari; A loving grandfather and great-grandfather, he leaves his cherished grandchildren Meredith Diamond and her husband Christopher Diamond, Joseph Jr. and his wife Christina Labriola, Jaclyn Labriola, Mallory Snyder and her husband Jonathan Snyder, Marie Gioulis, and Vasilios Gioulis; He leaves his beautiful great-grandchildren, Owen Diamond, Blaise Labriola, and Addison Diamond; He also leaves several cherished nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, followed by a funeral service on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
