Beverly Collins

Beverly Anne (Oland) Collins, age 65, of Mooresville, NC passed away in her home on May 29, 2017 from Cancer. She was born on March 18, 1952 to the late Simon Craver Oland and Velma Cordelia (Pugh) Oland.

Beverly was raised in Laytonsville, MD.  She was a 1970 graduate of Gaithersburg High School in Montgomery County, MD.  Following graduation, she attended Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. After college, Beverly began her work career with Montgomery County Government where she was employed until the birth of her daugther in 1987. Three years later her family moved to North Carolina.

She enjoyed being with her family and friends; beloved dogs Kingsley, Aladdin and Kagome; and cat Merlin.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Stephen H. Collins; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Collins of Chicago, IL; brother, Douglas Oland and wife Patricia of Middletown, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 21720 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, MD 20882.
