Beverley Lyon

Mrs. Beverley Lyon, 82, of Mooresville, NC, died on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Autumn Care of Cornelius. Born on December 9, 1939, in Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Sherwood and Rose Rutley.

Mrs. Lyon was a graduate of Cornwall General Hospital and had a long rewarding career, which she loved, as an operating room registered nurse. Beverley met the love of her life, Tom, when she was doing her operating room rotation in New York City. They married in 1965 and eventually moved to North Carolina, where they were very happy. Beverley was an accomplished artist and filled their home with many paintings. Tom and Beverley loved traveling and spent many happy years exploring in their Airstream.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 26^th from 6:00pm to 8:00PM at Raymer Kepner Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Caroline Edmondson and Charlotte Simone and five grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; brother, George Rutley, and grandson, Oliver Simone.
