Betty Jo Flowe Young

Betty Jo Flowe Young, 85, of Charlotte, NC passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at CMC-Northeast. Betty Jo was born September 18, 1930 in Charlotte to the late William O. Flowe and Willie Lingle Flowe. She was the bookkeeper for Toyota City in Charlotte for many years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother William Flowe. Betty Jo is survived by her loving family; husband of 65 years, Jack E. Young; son, Richard Young and his wife Rita; daughter, Patti Harlan and her husband Ralph; grandsons, Derek Young, Everett Harlan, Chandler Harlan; sisters, Mary Ridgeway and her husband Donnie, Pat Collins and her husband Fred, Helen Moser, Rita Williams and her husband Donnie; sister-in-law, Mary Fuller and her husband Frederick; several nieces and nephews. A service will be held at the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Columbarium on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Kenneth Craig officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, 1600 Mallard Creek Church Rd., Charlotte, NC 28269. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
