Betty Bell Lentz

Betty Bell Lentz, 92, of Cornelius, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House. She was born on January 24, 1930, in Cornelius, the daughter of the late Walter Lee Bell and Hazeline White Bell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll B. Clark, and her second husband, Floyd T. Lentz.

Betty was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Cornelius. She worked in education as a teacher and taught the majority of her years at Cornelius Elementary School before retiring in 1990. Betty was an avid reader and loved her family dearly.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Kim Clark; son, David Clark; cousin, Jim Harwell; and longtime friends, Patsy Barker, Jean Caldwell, Linda Davis, and Katy Hollingsworth.

Services are being held privately by the family.
