Betty Lee Leavengood

Betty Lee Leavengood, 79, of Davidson, North Carolina, passed away on May 23, 2018 at her home.  She was born on January 9th, 1939 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Arden and Gladys Reese Marshall.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Graham of Iowa City, Iowa and Christine Graham of Flagstaff, Arizona; son, Rodney Graham and wife Melissa of Davidson, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Marshall Graham and Emma Claire Graham, and her cat, Sophia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leavengood.

Betty loved her family and was always up for a game of Scrabble with them, she enjoyed hiking and backpacking, and had a passion for history.  As a result of her love of the outdoors, she authored two books titled “Grand Canyon Women” and “Tucson Hiking Guide”.
