Betty Treadway Hunter

Mrs. Betty Treadway Hunter, 78, of Denver, NC died Thursday, February 13, 2014. Born September 26, 1935 in Madison County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Ruby Davis Treadway. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeter Henderson Hunter and brother, James Alvin Treadway. She is survived by her son; Bill Hunter and wife Devi of Mt. Holly, NC, daughters; Susie Sherrill and husband Bill of Denver, NC, Ruby Chambers and husband Rick of Locust, NC, Cathy Earp and husband Billy of Monroe, NC, ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, February 17, 2014 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church on Highway 73 in Iron Station, NC. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Edward Reese officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Levin & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
