?Betty Jean Deaton Cross of Cornelius, NC, passed away on October 30th, 2018 at Autumn Care.
She was born September 23rd, 1926 to the late Sarah Emmaline Gurley Deaton and James Harris Duke Deaton. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin "Bennie" Cross, and fourteen siblings.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Susan Cross Dove of Huntersville; sons, Kim Cross and wife Abby of Fair Play, SC, and Keith Cross and wife Kelly of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Celia Cross Spartz (Morgan), Kyle Cross, Justin Cross, Cameron Cross King (Brandon), Seth Cross, and Grace Dove; and great-granddaughter, Kennedy King.
She was a long-time member of Huntersville Presbyterian Church, the Present Word Sunday School Class, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at Huntersville Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Huntersville Presbyterian Church, 201 S. Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078.
