Betty Ailene Bordeaux Johnston

Betty Ailene Bordeaux Johnston, 86, of Charlotte, NC passed away Friday February 21, 2014 at the Summit Place in Mooresville, NC. Betty was born February 27, 1927 in Delco, NC to the late Winslow and Sadie Davis Bordeaux. Betty worked as an underwriter for Allstate Insurance Company for 25 years. She loved nature, Gospel singing, playing the piano and she loved chocolate. Betty loved cats, especially her cat "Missy". Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Edward "Shorty" Johnston and her sister Nancy B. Heath. Betty leaves to cherish her memory her loving son M. Steve Johnston and his wife Debra of Charlotte, NC, sister, Mildred Smith of Delco, NC and brother, Billy Bordeaux of Whiteville, NC. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with Chaplain Stephen Vance officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. A private interment will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
