Barbara Ann Holden, formerly Brault, was born on October 26, 1949, in Hartford, Connecticut, and passed away on March 4, 2025, in Concord, North Carolina. She lived a life that was vibrant and full of love, embodying wit, strength, and a hardworking spirit that touched the hearts of everyone around her.

Barbara was an unwavering presence in her family, known for her straightforwardness and flirtatious charm. She fought fiercely for those she loved, always keeping her family united through life's challenges. Her pride in her three daughters—Paula Marie Johnson, Sandy Lee Dobbs, and Corina A. Cox Elliott—was evident in everything she did. Barbara's devotion to her family extended to her son-in-law, Marshall Bonnes III; grandchildren; Luke Johnson, Dylan Dobbs, James Scarpinato, and Paul Anthony Scarpinato, along with her great-grandchildren Cara Faith, Noah James, Stevie, and Kayden Johnson. Each of them held a special place in her heart.

Barbara's interests were as colorful as her personality. She had a particular passion for pizza, enjoyed picking strawberries, and loved to dance. Many cherished moments were spent in her friend's garden, where she found peace and joy while tending to all the plants and flowers. Her creative spirit shined through in her hobbies, which included knitting and making pottery, often paired with her signature laughter.

She was also deeply connected to her siblings—her sister, Marie Brault, and her brother, John Brault—sharing a bond that was filled with love and mutual respect.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Joseph Brault; her mother, Laurette Houle; her husband, Sidney Ray Holden; and her former husband, Daniel Charles Hayden, who was the father to her beloved daughters.

The celebration of Barbara's remarkable life will be held on March 8, 2025, at Raymer - Kepner (Huntersville) located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Barbara Ann Holden's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends, who remember her as a source of strength and a guiding light in their lives.
