Barbara Ann Hatcher

Barbara Ann Hatcher, a spirited individual and cherished member of her community, left this world on March 31, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 24, 1945, Barbara's vibrant personality and zest for life had an impact on the lives of all who knew her.

Barbara dedicated many decades of her professional life to working as an insurance agent, where her professionalism and charismatic demeanor set her apart. Colleagues and clients alike will remember her not only for her expertise but also for the warmth she brought to every interaction.

With a firecracker spirit and a gypsy soul, Barbara exuded a unique style that captured the attention and admiration of those around her. She embraced life with a fervor that was evident in her love for sparkly things and the joy she found while shopping. In her retirement years, Barbara dove into her passions, particularly enjoying spirited games of dominoes with her fellow retirees and her mother. Known for her competitive nature, she took great delight in winning these friendly contests.

Barbara leaves behind her beloved family, which includes her son, Jeffrey Hatcher, and his spouse; her daughter, Debbie Macha, and her spouse; as well as five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Her mother, Vivian Blackmon, along with her brother, Samuel Harris and his spouse, and sister, Kay Davis, also survive her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary John Hatcher; her father, Robert Harris; a grandson; a great-grandchild; and her step-father, Henry Blackmon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.  

Barbara Ann Hatcher will long be remembered for her vivacity, competitive spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. She brought light and laughter into the lives of all who crossed her path, leaving an unforgettable legacy that will continue through her loved ones.
