Barbara Bridges

Barbara Jill Stroupe Bridges, 71, of Denver, NC passed away on March 10, 2016 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. She was born September 16, 1944 to the late David Walter Stroupe and Lois Jetton Stroupe.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Stroupe.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Ronald Bridges; daughter, Ashley Smith; grandsons, Kyler and Korbin Smith; sister, Frances Mundy (Jim); brother, Jackie Stroupe (Gayle); sister, Dawn Pressley (Terry); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was known for making amazing birthday cakes for all. She and her husband enjoyed traveling all over to see old cars. She loved being a grandmother and a great friend, and will be missed by all that knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Salem United Methodist Church, Denver, NC.  A visitation will take place from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest following the service at the church cemetery.
