Ava Ninghua Chang, 65, of Dallas Texas, formerly of Denver, NC died Saturday May 24, 2014. She was born in Nanjing, China South Capital July 10, 1948. Coming from Communist China, she loved and appreciated the good life America had to offer. Her family became US citizens and worked very hard to be part of the community. Ava and her husband James moved to Denver, NC in 1988 where they owned and operated Triangle Dry Cleaners for 24 years. In 2013 they relocated to Dallas, Texas to be close to their son, Hao. She fought a hard battle with cancer which finally took her life. According to her doctors "she was one tough cookie". Services were conducted on Monday May 26, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Ava leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, James Xueyuan Zhu; loving son, Hao Zhu and wife Shelby of Dallas; granddaughter, Lilly; sister, Evelyn Chang, brother, Joseph Chang both of Los Angeles, California; nephew Ming Zhang and wife Janice of Pensacola, Florida and a host of friends.
