Audrey Alexander Dick

Mrs. Mae Audrey Alexander Dick, 80, of Huntersville, NC died Friday October 10, 2014 at Novant Health-Huntersville, NC. Born August 7, 1934 in Mecklenburg County she was a daughter of the late William G. Alexander and Lillie Mae Douglas Alexander. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Dick was employed at Ranson Jr. High School in food service. She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, was an avid reader and loved to grow flowers. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Allen Purtill officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, John Clifford Dick and wife, Robin and Robert Jackson Dick and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Michael, Steven and Jesse Dick; sisters, Jane Quick and Gwen McAuley and husband, Ed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Cleve Dick, four sisters Merrill, Louise, Bettye and Marverine and two brothers Bud and Duck. Memorials in her honor may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
