Audree passed away at the age of 87 in her home, surrounded by love. She was born in Bellaire Ohio and attended The Ohio State University where she met and fell in love with Martin Spatz. She started her nursing career at New Rochelle High School and then went on to get her MS at Columbia University and then served as Director of Nursing at Elizabeth Seton College.
Audree lived in the New York area for 50 years and upon retirement moved to Denver, North Carolina and enjoyed living on Lake Norman, especially swimming off the dock. She was very social and enjoyed throwing parties which drew rave reviews. Audree was generous and kind and helped many people in need. She volunteered for Hospice Care, Wheels on Meals and was active in the Temple. She lived life to the fullest and enjoying traveling around the world, gardening and painting. She always enjoyed having her grandchildren visit and taking them shopping.
Audree is survived by her 3 children, and 7 grandchildren. Instead of flowers the family requests donations to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078, hpccr.org.
