Archie Grady Brown, Jr.

Archie Grady "A.G." Brown, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021.

A.G. was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 1, 1932 to the late A.G. Brown, Sr., and Carrie Sheppard Brown.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Boyd Brown and Robert Brown; and his sisters, Donalene Cook and Georgia Rumfelt.

His family finds comfort in knowing he is now celebrating eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  A.G. was a 1950 graduate of Paw Creek High School and retired after 30 years with IBM.  Mr. Brown was a former long standing member of Paw Creek Presbyterian prior to moving to Mooresville and joining Williamson's Chapel UMC. 

A.G. is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Janet Plummer Brown; sons, John (Vickie) and Scott (Sherri); sister, Ruth Smith; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

A private, immediate family only memorial service will be held due to COVID.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in A.G.'s memory to Williamson's Chapel UMC, 575 Brawley School Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117 or to a church or Christian charity of the donor's choosing.
