Anne Sutton

Anne Whitfield Sutton, 96, of Charlotte, NC passed away on May 28, 2021.

She was born in Clinton, NC on February 22, 1925 to the late Allen and Mary Ellen Whitfield.

Along wither her parents Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Julian T. Sutton; son, Stuart Sutton; and seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Jay Sutton (Norma); son, Michael Sutton; two grandchildren, Erin Keever (Brett) and Alexander Sutton (Robin); two great-grandchildren, Elise Keever and Lucas Sutton.

Anne enjoyed playing bridge and traveling, especially down to Wrightsville Beach. She loved to dress up and go to dinner dances at Holly Oak in Scotland Neck. She liked to paint and read in her younger years. She also volunteered at Scotland Neck UMC.

A memorial service will be held at Aldersgate, with the date to be announced.
