Anne Mercedes Baron-Houseman

August 17, 1966 — February 23, 2012

Anne Baron-houseman born August 17, 1966 passed into eternal life on February 23, 2012 after a courageous and warrior-like battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Mark David Houseman, her parents, Stephen and Therese (Mende) Baron and a brother Stephen Baron. She leaves behind the best parts of her and her husband, her two amazing sons, Robert James Houseman and Benjamin Christopher Leo Houseman who have been her inspiration during this battle. Other surviving relatives include five sisters, Regina (Armen) Melkonian, Susan Baron, Mary (Mike) Farrell, Nancy (Jon) Rose, Therese (Brian) Hansen and her chosen sister, Maria Dykes. Four brothers, Robert (Sunny) Baron, Timothy Baron, Andrew (Lois) Baron and Thomas (Debbie) Baron. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her funloving ways. Anne's chosen calling was always to help people and to see people become the best they could be. She was a registered nurse and was employed at Presbyterian Hospital as a Surgical Services Educator. She considered everyone she worked with as an extension of her family and cherished them immensely. One of Anne's hobbies was drawing and painting. She would be able to lose herself in her art and has won awards for her paintings. Her other joy discovered later in life was motorcycle riding. She also loved tending to her garden of flowers and plants. Her most beloved joy came from being a mother to her two special boys. She was so proud to see her son Robert complete his Eagle Scout project and to become the amazing man he is. Her son Ben filled her life with smiles and joy with his humor, dancing and just laying beside her in the bed. Her best moments in her life were with her family. While Anne is dancing again in heaven, she leaves behind a legacy of moments and memories she left with all those who have been blessed to have been in her life. A funeral mass will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 27 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday February 26 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home with a Christian Wake service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 97 (12311 Braeloch Ct, Huntersville, NC 28078) and to the Livine & Dickson Hospice House (11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078) would be appreciated.
