Ann Marie Kieffer

Mrs. Ann Kieffer, 86, joined her beloved Savior on November, 15, 2012 from the home she shared with her daughter and son-in-law She was born January 13, 1926 in Canton, OH. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kutrovac. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Delores Skirtech and Mary Lou VanPelt and brother, John, ex-husband Kenneth W. Kieffer and son, Jeffrey L. Kieffer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Bill Hertzing of Mooresville, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Kieffer of Charlotte, grandchildren, Jessica Anderson, Shawn Strabley, Kayla Sharrock and their spouses, grandson Alexander Hertzing, great grandchildren, and her beloved cousins, Tony Bogovich and Sally Davidson and her seven nieces and nephews. She graduated from Timken Vocational High School. She had an eclectic career that included secretary, car wash owner, fitness salon operator, and realtor. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Martin's Lutheran Church, and First Christian Church in Canton, OH where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, reading, and her children and grandchildren. Ann had an endless bolt of experiences and adventures from which she could weave the stories of her life. She is remembered for the copious number of encouraging notes and letters written in her elegant penmanship to friends and family which always ended with her favorite phrase, "Love Never Fails". Ann was treasured for her sharp wit, sense of humor, kindness and generosity. She had a wonderful gift of making strangers feel loved. She donated her body to the University of NC at Chapel Hill in the hopes of finding a cure for Myelofibrosis. The family extends a heartfelt appreciation to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County for the care and kindness they provided. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, November 25, at 2:00 P.M. at Williamson's Chapel, Mooresville in the Sanctuary.
