Andrew Anthony Poerio

Andrew Anthony Poerio, 75 of Huntersville, NC died peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his residence. Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Frank S. Poerio and Virginia Cornecelli Poerio. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Jerilyn; children, Frank and wife Barbara; Joseph, Andrea and Lorri Poerio; grandsons, Michael, Brian and Jake Poerio. He is also survived by a large, loving extended family, including brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. He lived in Manor Park, NY for 45 years, and was the Director of Facility Management at Narda Microwave, a Division of L3 Communications. He served as an Airman 2nd Class in the US Air Force from 1957-1962 with a tour in Okinawa. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Huntersville, NC with Military Honors following the service. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
