Andrew Auten

Andrew “Andy” Lewis Auten, 56, a proud resident of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 15, 2024. Andy was born in Mooresville on Jan. 9, 1968, to the late Bill and Kay Beaver Auten. Along with his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: Mack and Pauline Beaver, Adrian and Willamenia Auten; and his aunt Cheryl Lynn Hager. 

He is survived by his sisters: Chanin (Paul) Murawski of Mooresville, Lynn (Charles) Morris of Mooresville, Katherine Saleeby of Atlanta, Janet Gordon of Mooresville; and his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In his youth, Andy worked proudly as an astute car mechanic and tow truck driver at his family’s business B & A Towing, and served his community as a volunteer firefighter. A visitation service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at his family’s lifelong church Grace Covenant in Huntersville followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m.

A visitation will take place on Saturday November 23, 2024 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC.

A funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 PM. Andy will be laid to rest with his family at Mount Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius following the funeral service. Andy’s family would like for any donations to be made to Grace Covenant Church.
