Alma Brant, 90, of Huntersville, NC, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2018. She was a long-time resident of Max Meadows, VA and was formerly of Iaeger, WV.
Born October 1, 1928 in War Eagle, WV, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Joseph Hurley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Brant, Jr.; six brothers, six sisters; and many other cherished relatives and friends. Survivors include her adoring daughters, Debra Rambo of Max Meadows and Lori Hurley of Huntersville, NC; grandson, Richard Rambo of Max Meadows; great granddaughter Katelyn Rambo of Max Meadows; brother Darrell (Lisa) Hurley of Patrick Springs, VA; son-in-law, Guy Hurley of Hardy, VA; two special ladies who were like daughters to her, Tracy Webster and Regan Hagee, and numerous nieces and nephews and special friends as well as Toby her special four-legged friend.
Alma loved to read and could always be found with a book in her hand or the telephone up to her ear as she loved keeping up with her family and friends. She touched the lives of many people and will be forever loved and missed by her children, family and friends.
At her request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
