Aileene Alexander Baker, 85 of Huntersville, NC died peacefully Sunday November 23, 2014 at Olde Knox Commons surrounded by her loving family. Born October 14, 1929 in Mecklenburg County she was a daughter of the late Roddie M. Alexander and Aleise Welch Alexander. She was a 1947 graduate of Derita High School, a member of Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 29, 2014 at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the Fellowship Hall. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister she leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Stephen Baker and wife Debbie of Denver, NC, Jeffrey Baker and wife Marianne of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Matthew, Wesley Cody and Hayley; great grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Bill, Olivia and Dylan and sister, Brenda Armstrong of Huntersville, NC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Baker, brothers, Carl, Willis and Jack Alexander. The family extends to the doctors and staff of Olde Knox Commons a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Baker during her declining health. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church Perpetual Cemetery Fund, 4700 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
